• Forza Motorsport 4 Gameplay Leaked

Forza Motorsport 4 is one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2011, and this video leaked to Kotaku has proved that not only we will put our hands on more cars and more tracks but also more Kinect.

The video, confirmed by Microsoft to be authentic and not intended for public consumption, shows Details such as Kinect-supported head tracking, Kinect driving controls in casual gameplay modes, advanced lighting and modelling, social networking features and a deep list of manufacturers were all tipped off earlier.

The video is called “Fault Line: Episode 2 Good Effect” and features some earth-shattering physics effects powered by their new frostbite 2 engine – as well as some scrabbling about on rooftops. Oh, and plenty of destruction.

DICE has called out its rivals in the latest OPM, claiming “our competitors are getting lazy… they had better watch out. We are coming for them.”

The studio’s general manager, Karl Magnus Troedsson, has added that the developer regrets its past neglect of the PC community, and that it’s intent on making it up with Battlefield 3.

  • Kinect Sets Guinness World Record As The Fastest-Selling Consumer Electronics Device

According to the guys at the Guinness World Records, Microsoft’s Kinect sold on average 133,333 units per day over a 60 day period. That totals a mind-blowing 8 million units in two months.

Gaz Deaves, Editor of Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer’s Edition, said:

The sales figures here speak for themselves. We can confirm that no other consumer electronics device sold faster within a 60-day time span, an incredible achievement considering the strength of the sector.

These numbers mean MS shifted more Kinects than Apple sold iPads or iPhones during their first 60 days of being on sale.

Labeled as a fad by many, Kinect took the world by storm with its futuristic approach to gaming, though a lack of titles since launch has left existing Kinect owners with shiny new kit but few games to use it with. It’s early days though, and few can argue with the hardware’s promise.
