  • Jony Ive Not Leaving Apple for UK

In an interesting profile of Apple’s VP of Industrial Design, Jony Ive, the UK Daily Mail pops this little tidbit toward the end:

Speculation that Ive would leave Apple to return to the UK is also false, says a former colleague: ‘I’m not sure there is any truth he wants to come back. My last conversations with him were that he was planning to sell his house in the UK.’

  • AT&T Acquires T-Mobile US For $39 Billion

AT&T bought T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom for $39 billion so there are now only three major mobile carriers in the US – AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Both carriers use the same technologies: GSM, HSPA+ and LTE. AT&T Mobile will become a monopoly for GSM cellular services in the US.

AT&T will become the largest US cellular carrier surpassing Verizon by a nice margin based on an estimated number of subscribers at Verizon as 94 million. Purchasing T-Mobile will add about 34 million subscribers to AT&T’s 96 million creating a subscriber base of approximately 130 million for the combined carrier.

  • How to Edit your Facebook Comments

Facebook recently rolled out an update to its commenting system. Now, instead of pressing Comment, you simply press the Enter key to save a comment. More excitingly, however, Facebook silently rolled out another new feature at the same time: you can now edit comments!

When you comment on your friend’s status, photos or link, and want to edit your comment, simply press the ‘X’ in the top right corner to edit it. Your comment instantly turns into a text box where you can alter what you’ve written, then just press Enter again to save it.

Note: If someone send a comment after you, your comment will be blocked, but you still able to delete your comment by the same ‘X’ button. Also you have to know that you also have only 60 seconds to edit your comment.

It’s also worth noting that everyone still gets email (and SMS!) notifications when you comment, and when you edit comments.
