• Apple’s iOS Is More Secure Than Google’s Android!

    An interesting report run by security experts at Symantec indicates that Apple iOS devices are much “less prone” to most security risks than Google’s Android platform.

    For its closed app distribution nature, the iOS is more secure and its increased resistance to resource abuse, data loss, and data integrity attacks among the factors.

    In a head-to-head comparison, Symantec found that iOS was just more secure in many areas, and was found, contrary to their findings regarding Android, to have full protection against malware attacks. Apple’s platform was also found to have greater security feature implementation in the categories of access control, application provenance, and encryption.

    The report also applauds Apple for their thorough and excellent job in designing the non-interface aspects of iOS. Check out the full report in all of its detail over at Symantec.

    Ice Cream Sandwich will be the newest version of Android, and it’s going to bring the goodness of Honeycomb to phones, along with Gingerbread features to tablets, a new multitasking capabilities for less memory management issues, resizable widgets and a new user interface. The update coming in Q4 of this year.

    The two Live Wallpapers from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II have been extracted by the guys at smartkeitai and now you can run them on your Android. The two wallpapers pulled are centered around the countryside with windmills and the coast with a beach scene. The backgrounds will actually change from day to night depending on the time of day, which is always a cool feature when it comes to live wallpapers.

    Note: on the SGS II, these wallpapers update with weather animations corresponding to your area. Unfortunately, the LWP settings menu only gives options for update time intervals and doesn’t allow location configuration.

    Install the APK files using a file explorer and then configure them just like any other live wallpaper.
