    Apple has launched a revamped ‘Retail 2.0’ experience to mark the 10th anniversary of Apple Retail stores, We told you before about all-hands meetings that will be conducted this Sunday, May 22nd. And now the stores in Australia which are a day ahead of the United States have got it first. All paper signs and information cards have been replaced with interactive iPad 2s.   • Firefox 5.0 Beta Available to Download


    Mozilla today issued the next major revision to its popular web browser, Firefox 5.0 comes with support for new CSS animation standards, as well as stability and performance improvements.

    – The Do-Not-Track header preference has been moved to increase discoverability
    – Improved canvas, JavaScript, memory, and networking performance

  • Explosion at Chinese Foxconn iPad Factory Kills Two


    Chinese television is reporting a big explosion at Foxconn’s factory. It has happened in building A05, the production line for iPad 2.

    Right now, there are more than ten fire engines and ten ambulances at the scene. According to TV reports, the place is in chaos and Foxconn’s spokesperson is still not answering his phone. Watch the video below:

    At approximately 7 pm on May 20, there was an explosion at our Chengdu campus. At this point, we can also confirm that there were two fatalities with injuries to 16 other employees. We are working with medical officials to provide treatment to the injured employees and we are working with government and law enforcement officials to contact the families of all employees affected by this tragedy.

    The situation has been brought under control by the fire department and the cause of this explosion is being investigated by local police officials. Foxconn is cooperating fully with that investigation.

    Production has been suspended at the site of the explosion until the completion of the investigation. The safety of our employees is our highest priority and we will do whatever is required to determine and address the cause of this tragic accident.

  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon Release Date Pushed Up to June 29


    For those looking forward to Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Paramount has officially moved the release date of the third Transformers movie from July 1st to Wednesday, June 29th.

    They did the same last minute date change for the previous two Transformers movies, so this isn’t exactly unexpected. This movie will be one of the biggest earners of the summer, if not the biggest, so Paramount wants to give it extra time without competition.

    The movie directed by Michael Bay and starring Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich, Patrick Dempsey, John Turturro and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The voice cast includes Leonard Nimoy and Hugo Weaving.

    Official Synopsis:

    The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

    Dark of the Moon is set to be released in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on June 29.
