• Michael Bay Uses Recycled Action Sequence in Transformers 3 From ‘The Island’

    Say what you will about Michael Bay, but he is a filmmaker who knows how to maximize the bang for the buck. He is often criticized for using too much product placement, which gives him millions of dollars more to play with than he would have otherwise had access to. so you can’t really blame the guy for re-using footage from one in another, more particularly the guys has used some footage from 2005 “The Island” and reuse it in Transformers 3 Dark of the moon.

    Filmmakers often use stock footage to save money from traveling to capture an exterior of a city, house or location. Its a very common occurrence which you likely never notice. Bay has used stock footage in most of films, sometimes borrowing shots from his earlier movies . Watch the clip below which shows that Bay recycled shots from an action sequence from The Island in Transformers: Dark of the Moon:

    And by the way, it’s not the first time Bay has done this. In Transformers, a shot of an aircraft carrier that was borrowed from Pearl Harbor.

    A teaser trailer for Disney/Pixar‘s next animated movie, Brave, previously titled The Bear and the Bow. The movie looking cool and has an incredible imagery. Check it out below and share your thoughts.

    The movie is being directed by Marc Andrews/Brenda Chapman and it features the voices of Kelly Macdonald (No Country for Old Men, Boardwalk Empire) Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane.

    Official Synopsis:

    Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Brave, a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.     A bunch of TV Spots for Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger has found its way in the web. Check them out:

    The cast includes Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan and Toby Jones as Arnim Zola.

    Born during the Great Depression, Steve Rogers grew up a frail youth in a poor family. Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected.     The movie directed by Michael Bay and starring Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich, Patrick Dempsey, John Turturro and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The voice cast includes Leonard Nimoy and Hugo Weaving.

    Official Synopsis:

    The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
