    Apple has announced iOS 5, OS X 10.7 Lion, and iCloud at WWDC yesterday. They’ve released iOS 5 betas for all iDevices, below all the needed links, direct and indirect, but keep in mind that your iDevice need to be activated. Otherwise it won’t work. Use them at your own risk.

  • iOS 5 is Jailbroken Already

    Apple has released the next iteration of their Mobile software, iOS 5 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch yesterday at the WWDC conference. The new version comes with more than 200 new features, including a new notification system, Newsstand, which is an iBook like but for magazines and Newspaper subscription, Twitter integration, Safari Reader and Reading List, Reminders, Camera and Image editing Capabilities, Mail updates, iOS-wide built-in dictionary, PC-free for syncing, updating wirelessly, Delta OTA software updates, and iMessage.

    MuscleNerd one of key members of the Dev Team has confirmed via his twitter the possibility of jailbreak future on iOS 5, and no matter the fact that it will be a tethered solution at least initially, but the Jailbreak community will love to have their hands on it.

    iOS 5 beta is available for developers, with public release planned for this fall.

    Apple has released iOS 5, the next iteration of its mobile operating system for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to registered developers.

    Here are some of what you expect for the new iOS:

    • You can keep using your device while syncing
    • You can hold links and have them open in the background.
    • More alert choices for emails, calendar, and the ability to buy more.
    • Ability to create keyboard shortcuts (autotext) to replace custom phrases. The default entry is “omw” which is replaced with, “On my way!”
    • Software update option in settings to check for the latest OS.
    • Sync now button to wireless sync to iTunes
    • Ability to customize how notifications in Notification Center look — you can customize how many recent ones to show, 1, 5 or 10, if it’s showed in the lock screen, if it’s in Notification Center, and also the alert style, banner or alert style.
    • Twitter installs directly from the settings page if it’s not installed directly, you aren’t even taken to the App Store.
    • FaceTime button in iMessage messages at the top now
    • Tweeting photos is, so so slick. It displays on Twitter as powered by Photobucket, and it’s from iOS.
