  • iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak Released [Password Protected]

Well, Stefan Esser the iPhone security expert an hacker and the guy behind iOS 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak, he has just released iOS 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak in a password protected zip file.

    He tweeted:

The untether is downloadable athttp://antidote.com/untether.zip (but only if you can crack the ZIP password)

Of course you won’t be able to open the file as the password has so many characters which would be impossible to decrypt it. But this mean that it’s now ready hundred percent which expected to be released for both Windows and Mac.

Musclenerd (the Dev-team spokesperson) has just announced that they are doing normal testing across all devices + configs, before releasing the RedSn0w jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1.

@mickius we’re just doing normal testing across all devices + configs (unlocked vs. legit). Everything is on track for a Funday (USA time!)

He does say that they are on time for a ‘Funday’ and with today being Sunday that means we should see the release today.

  • Green Lantern: New Footage and Official Movie Poster

Warner Bros. has unveiled this pretty awesome official movie poster for Green Lantern at Wondercon.

    Official Synopsis:

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds).

Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Here is some new footage that was shown at Wonder-Con too, with a good four minutes to watch:

The movie directed by Martin Campbell, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Angela Bassett. It’s set to hit theaters on June 17th, 2011.

  • Windows 8 Official Wallpaper Download

Windows 8 milestone 3 now up for grabs for select Microsoft Connect partners, it’s inevitable that leaked bits and pieces will start popping up around the Web. In fact, the first “official” wallpaper image from the still-brewing OS is already making the rounds.

A few other details have been revealed, too. According to ZDNet’s source, the Windows 8 Jupiter libraries and Twin UI are starting to take shape — though all that’s been located thus far are “[various files] scattered throughout the OS” and the aptly-named twinui.dll.

  • Sony CEO Reveals Apple’s Plans for 8MP iPhone 5 Camera

Reports emerged on late Friday that, during an interview with The Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg, Sony CEO Howard Stringer had accidentally confirmed that a Sony camera sensor plant in Japan had been damaged by last month’s earthquake, delaying shipments of sensors to Apple. which sets the idea of plans to supply an eight-megapixel camera for Apple’s next-generation iPhone.

However, Sony does not currently provide image sensors to Apple, prompting speculation that the electronics giant could be set to provide a higher-resolution camera for the next iPhone. OmniVision has been Apple’s camera supplier for the 5-megapixel camera on the iPhone 4 and the 3.2-megapixel sensor for the iPhone 3GS.

In February, an analyst claimed that OmniVision would be unable to produce an eight-megapixel sensor in time for the launch of the next iPhone and that Sony would step in to for at least the first wave of orders.

According to the report, Sony’s eight-megapixel sensor, which is used in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, would suit Apple’s needs because it has a CMOS sensor for low light situations.
